Alpha Wind Energy Aps (AWE) is a Danish company with Renewable Energy Project Development as a major objective.
Established in 1999, AWE specializes in:
- Development of wind energy projects
- Assessment of wind potential,
- Wind measurement services,
- Wind project feasibility studies.
AWE currently works in Ireland, UK , Poland, Norway, Romania, Egypt and in USA.
IRELAND AWE's main market - AWE has during its 6 years presence managed to secure more than 150 MW of planned wind energy capacity. AWE's thorough approach to new potential projects has resulted in a 95% succes rate.
UK - AWE's secondary market - AWE has secured 2 land leases for development totalling approximately 100MW
Poland- AWE's future focal area - Subsidiary
USA - AWE future market joined with Havgul Clean Energy of Norway. Developing the Mariah project of 5000 MW in Texas

AWE has currently more than 20 meteorological measuring masts in operation with measuring heights of 40m to 200m.
AWE has measured wind on more than 50 sites ranging from northern Sweden to Taiwan, including Poland, Ireland, Scotland, England, Egypt, Korea, Hawaii, Tuvalu, Rarotonga, USA and Norway. In Norway AWE operates with LIDAR (Laser) equipment on a very remote island in the Atlantic ocean. In Texas AWE operates masts with a height of 140 meters.

Environment - Emphasis is placed on preserving the environment. AWE finds it important for every one to be actively involved in environmental issues, since providing a clean environment has to start from within our self.
Local involvement - Alpha Wind Energy is specifically emphasizing local involvement in Windturbine projects where possible to make it possible for as many as possible to be actively involved in and to invest in renewable energy production. With this approach AWE often work with local and small investors who in this way will get an opportunity to invest in financial sound projects.
Technology - AWE will use mature Wind turbines, which are proven and with a life expectancy of at least 20 years.
Awareness - Alpha Wind Energy will activly work to increase awareness and use of energy produced from natural sources, especially from wind.
